Ski vacations in Galtür and Ischgl – Skiing in Tyrol

Galtür and Ischgl are located in what is probably Tyrol ’s best area for guaranteed snow, at an altitude of 1600 m. The Silvretta Arena with its 42 lifts and cablecars and approx. 205 km of extremely well groomed slopes is considered a skiing mecca. The Arena links Ischgl with the Swiss duty-free area of Samnaun.

Most of the skiing region (90 %) is at an altitude ranging between 2000 and 2872 m – and has north-facing slopes with guaranteed snow, so that you can ski from the end of November until the start of May.

Don’t panic, you don’t have to overdo things. If you prefer, you can drift peacefully down the perfectly maintained, gentle slopes and relax by yourself... because here in Ischgl, freedom is certainly the top priority – especially the freedom to ski in a way that is personal and perfect for you.
