Galtür Ski safari

Using Snowcats as mobile ski lifts, visitors are transported out of the Galtür ski region past the Zeinisjoch to the Kops reservoir, the starting point for an exciting and varied descent through the forest, which might include off-piste diversions into the powder, down to the Montafon village of Partenen. The Vermunt lift brings skiers up to an altitude of 1730 m at a comfortable speed. Minibuses take the tourists through a section of tunnel up the Bielerhöhe mountain. In good weather, there is a view of the highest peaks of the Silvretta region, including Piz Buin. After a worthwhile stop at the local establishment, it’s chocks away for a speedy descent back to Wirl on skis.
