Since alpine sports began, Galtür has been considered a central starting point for the mountains of the “Blue Silvretta” region. Numerous walks, ranging in difficulty from easy to difficult, start in Galtür and take you up into the surrounding mountains.

Around 300 kilometres of footpaths and 18 alpine lodges make the mountains and valleys of the Silvretta region, the Samnaun group and the Verwall around Galtür accessible to the public. This means that it is possible to start numerous tours in Galtür, as well as going on hikes lasting several days from one lodge to the next. Trained mountain guides take you to the highest peaks.
