Winter walking in Galtür

Enjoy the fantastic snowy mountain landscape in and around Galtür! There are romantic winter hiking routes heading into the Jamtal valley towards Mathon, to the Zeinisjoch or up to the Bielerhöhe from Galtür. Footpaths are marked and prepared each year.

The Ischgl-Galtür tourist office offers a daily guided walking programme with experienced local tour guides. You can book the day before up to 5 pm at the Ischgl-Galtür tourist office. The valid weekly programme is available at the tourist office.

Suggested winter walks:

From the Silvrettabahn or Fimbabahn halfway station to the Bodenalpe pasture and back. (Walk takes approx. 3 hours)

From the Idalpe through the "Nachtweide" to the Höllboden cablecar valley station. Return to Idalpe on cablecar. (Walk takes approx. 1.5 hours)

From the Idalpe through the "Nachtweide" to Höllboden - Sassgalun - Paznauner Taja and then to the halfway stations. (Walk takes approx. 5 hours)

You can also enjoy the splendid winter landscape around the Alp Trida saddle.
